Do you ever start a layout with great ideas? With the feeling that it is going to be awesome? That's how the layout below began:
The photos are from my 40th surprise birthday party. The patterned paper is from Authentique - it is so gorgeous. I bought the paper a while ago at Paper Anthology and couldn't wait to use it. I used a sketch from www.sketchesbysuzy.com. Initially, I really liked the direction the layout was going but then after I created a few flower embellishments, I kinda stop liking it. I am frustrated with this layout - I like the photos, love the paper and the sketch but something is off.
Does that ever happen to you? I think I am going to set the layout aside for now & revisit it later. What do you do when you don't love a layout?
Hi Pam~
Most of the time when I don't like a LO I just move on. I figure at least more pic's were SB'ed. Your Lo looks wonderful~great design with the rd photo's!!

So pretty. When I'm not completely satisfied, I'll put the layout on my easel and look at it for a few days. Sometimes something comes to me. If not, up it goes. I've got plenty more to work on!

Awww-- I like it!!! I love all the circles--- I actually just over this weekend had a layout that I HATED-- I did it a week ago, couldnt stand it so I let it sit while I worked on other projects, went back to it and hated it even more lol. So I swear I stared at it for about an hour then ripped everything off, turned the cardstock over and started again-- ended up doing somthing totally different than what I originally had but liked it, so I guess what I would say I do is I let it sit, give it some time and think it over-- if I cant come up with anything I start completly over lol. But really-- I like your layout, I wouldnt change it ;)

I think its pretty! I love how everything pops off the dark background! When I don't like a layout, I take it apart and start over - lol!
