When I started scrapbooking 10 years ago, I was overwhelmed with the amount of photos I had to scrap. I had just had my second child, was loaded down with pictures and couldn't imagine ever getting caught up. I finally realized that it wasn't a race and I needed to just enjoy the process. So, I came up with a strategy for my scrapbooking. I decided I wanted each of my kids to have an album for their first year of life, then they would each have an album for their time in school and finally I would create one album for our family. Each baby album is completed - Patrick actually has 2 albums (not bad considering he is the youngest of 4). Their school albums are (for the most part) up to date - I include a brief page about their summer so that needs to be added. Our family album is only 1 year behind!!! I am up to August 2009 - I am so thrilled! At one point I was 9 years behind. I have been very busy although I don't know when I find the time. So, let me share a few of my most recent pages:
These photos are from our vacation to Cape Cod last summer. The cardstock is all Bazzill (my favorite cardstock in the world); the patterned paper is from K & Company (I bought a big box of patterned paper at Michaels with a coupon - great deal!). I used my cricut to cut out the sand castle and the letters for the title. Simple layout - typical me.
For the layout above I used patterned paper from the same box and the cardstock is Bazzill as well. I love patterned paper and I love to use it instead of a lot of embellishments on my pages. I love these layouts - they are very happy and fun to me.
