So, my youngest son has this funny little saying. When he asks for milk he asks for "cold milk" and anyone who ever has him in their home knows it's always "cold milk". My neighbor had Patrick over for dinner one night and she asked him if he wanted "cold milk" with dinner. Patrick almost fell off his care because Liz had "cold milk" in her house too!! Well, the other night my husband asked me if I had scrapbooked "cold milk"? And it got me thinking about the everyday stuff that happens around our house: homework at the dining room table (and the eventual gab fest it turns into); morning madness; clean bedrooms/dirty bedrooms (something we talk about everyday); favorite toys, clothes & books, etc. You know what I am talking about...all the stuff that's a huge part of our life right at this moment but will surely change in the future. So, I am making an effort to remember and scrapbook the little things that add up to our life. Below is a layout I did of a day in February last year (right after Patrick's birthday) - a Sunday afternoon with dad.
The boys were playing SpongeBob Connect 4 (Patrick loves SpongeBob) and I just wanted to remember how sweet and yummy the boys were playing together. I also included a picture of my son Richard with all his Silly Bandz - he had just started to collect them & he loved them.
Time definetly flies and I am trying my best to preserve all our family memories - even the everyday stuff!!
